Architecture Design
High Concrete's new 53,000-square-foot architectural production building and 90,000-square-foot structural/architectural batch plant have helped the company increase overall capacity by several hundred percent and made it one of the largest single precast concrete plants in the country. The architectural building contains two stressing areas for producing spandrels and wall panels. The facility also houses a 320-foot-long self-stressing wall panel form. A 750-cfm air compressor supplies air to the facility and permits the use of external air vibrators. The remainder of the building serves as a multipurpose production area. The batch plant includes precast and poured-in-place in-ground aggregate bins, a conveyance system, and a batching tower with five cement silos and two four-yard mixers. The structural batch plant can deliver 150 yards per hour, compared with 60-70 yards for the former unit; and the architectural batch plant produces 100-150 yards per hour compared to the original batch plant that produced just 150 yards per day.
